PORTFOLIO OR CERTIFICATE
Google UX Design: what should exist after the certificate?
The certificate can structure a beginner route. Hiring conversations still need research decisions, iterations and work that survives outside the course template.
Use the programme when you need a structured introduction and can turn its exercises into an original case study. Start free when you still need to test whether UX work fits.
CHOOSE THE OUTPUT
The certificate is one line; the work needs several pages
ResearchA clear question, participant limits and evidence that changed the design.
ProcessProblem framing, alternatives, iteration and the constraints you accepted.
ArtifactA prototype or service flow that can be inspected without course context.
ReflectionWhat failed, what changed and what you would test next.
US PRICE / PACE / CREDENTIAL
Monthly cost rewards realistic completion planning
| US and Canada price | Google currently states $49 USD per month after a seven-day free trial. |
|---|---|
| Pace | Self-paced; total spend depends on the number of active months. |
| Credential | A Google Career Certificate delivered through Coursera, not a professional license. |
| Portfolio | Course projects need editing and original context before they become strong hiring evidence. |
